Chrysler Toledo Assembly Plant Paint Shop and Body Shop

Hillsdale Fabricators partnered with Chrysler and the project team to apply a Low-Cost Building Strategy for a new automotive assembly plant, using structural steel to significantly reduce construction costs. Through close coordination with the architect and owner, the team reduced the cost of the facility from a typical $85 per square foot to $58 per square foot.

The structure was designed around standard, repeating modules made up of just nine truss types, simplifying fabrication and erection while accelerating the construction schedule.
