Chicago Transit Authority Red and Purple Modernization Phase 1

Hillsdale Fabricators supported the Chicago Transit Authority’s Red and Purple Modernization Phase 1 program through structural steel fabrication and preassembly for a new rail bypass. The project enables improved train flow and increased capacity along one of Chicago’s busiest transit corridors.

Hillsdale Fabricators’ work included fabrication and preassembly of large structural components delivered for installation in tight urban conditions. The bypass structure allows trains to operate on a dedicated elevated alignment, reducing congestion and improving service reliability.
