Vale Nickel Processing Plant

Hillsdale Fabricators erected structural steel building modules for two process buildings at Vale’s nickel processing facility in Long Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, including the 263,000-square-foot Nickel/Cobalt Electrowinning building and the 182,000-square-foot Neutralization building.

As the modular plant build progressed, Hillsdale Fabricators erected 14,500 tons of structural steel to support installation of major equipment and long-span structures at the facility, designed to process 50,000 tons of nickel ore per year.
