Vale Nickel Processing Plant

Hillsdale Fabricators erected 14,500 tons of structural steel building modules for the Nickel/Cobalt Electrowinning building (263,000-square-feet) and the Neutralization building (182,000-square-feet) at the new $2.8 billion nickel processing plant. In total, 5,000 pieces of equipment and 160 modules were set, the largest weighing over 500 tons. Work on site peaked at over 4,000 craft workers.
